Say Their Names πŸ™

Rain begins to pour on the chaos below. One thing is for certain; you are not born with the hate which engulfs you, preventing you to grow. Like the trees which are long since rooted, you too cannot move If you do not seek the answers within, Humanity? Your sanity?  This you will surely lose. It pulls you under the crashing waves, thrashing and dancing Oh, but why can't you change? Open your mind. Break down its dams. Let the flood gates open. Reach out your hand. Just like King, I have a dream And the flowers bloom, the church bells boom. Why is there so much unrest? What does it matter if their skin colour Is different from the rest? Amongst the beaten, worn down cliffs, The lifeless lives live on in the chant, "Say their names." Fight for what is right. Your heart knows, deep within, do not conform. Do not give in. The purple sky and the defiant eyes and the ticking of the clock: it strikes at noon. Why must He leave his white palace of lies.

The sun begins to rise against the honey coloured sky, as the moon tucks itself away And a Turtle Dove sings Its wistful song as it, too, takes flight. It's a new day. Across the valley, the trees sway and the wind is unforgiving. The darkness within is penetrating, growing Humanity is stirring; Elimination. Extermination. Eradication. At one with one thing only; their own destruction. "When will this end?" She cries. The lies, the sad goodbyes? Will you rise? "Fight for me?" She pleads. And a Gray Wolf hunts its prey, naturally Yet still, you seek your own extinction day by day. What does it matter? The colour of their skin? Why do you not approve? And the tormented Pangolin snuffles through the warm sand: "Things will only get better," I hear you reply. Well, prove it. Let's move. The black man looks on. His time will come soon And a Wildcat seeks shelter 'till noon. Look up now. The clouds are heavy. For now,
